Teaching
As a sole instructor, I have taught an introductory course on organizational behavior for undergraduate students. As a teaching assistant, I have facilitated management courses at the MBA level.
Courses I have instructed:
MO 300: Behavior Theory in Management (University of Michigan; Fall 2020; 72 students)
Required introduction to management course for all third-year BBAs
Instructor rating: 4.9/5
This 14-week course is designed to improve students’ capacities to lead and manage by: (1) introducing frameworks for individual, team, and organizational behavior and (2) offering opportunities to apply these frameworks through group discussions and projects. In this course, I taught a variety of topics, including: decision-making, team dynamics, organization design, culture and socialization, compensation systems, job design, new trends in employment, persuasion tactics, networks and social capital, power, justice, negotiations, and conflict resolution. Teaching online during the COVID-19 pandemic, I collaborated with faculty to redesign this coordinated core course and supported students as they navigated an especially challenging period in their education.

“The energy that [Professor Segura] brought to each class and the clear passion for the content of the course were contagious and pushed me to commit to really learn and think critically about M&O. I would definitely recommend Professor Segura as an instructor for any class she teaches here!”
“Professor Segura was by far my favorite professor I've had at Ross. She was very available to her students, understanding, and genuinely listened to us. Of course along with making the class a very safe space for us to learn about topics that may otherwise be difficult to discuss.”
“She made the class engaging and fun even in this situation. Looking back on the semester, I learned a lot more in this class than in my other remote classes because of her engaged style of teaching that allowed me to discuss my thoughts with my peers.”
“I am so grateful she was my professor in this COVID year. I looked forward to her classes each and every day and am truly sad to see the course end. I am specifically applying to be a TA due to the amazing time I had learning from her.”
“Professor Segura was an excellent instructor, and she put in the time and effort to ensure we were understanding the course concepts. Despite the virtual format and uncertain time, she did a good job to make sure our needs were accommodated and we were maintaining psychological safety.”
